OOh, another good one! Two balls of soft as clouds wool and a ghetto ass drop spindle. I really wanted my spindle to work, but I think the wheel is too little because it doesn't spin. I'm thinking of going to the Torrance fiber festival just to buy one! Anyone want to come?

In case you were wondering what the hell that plastic thing was, I'll clue you in. I have a book with a picture of a yarn box. The description says it keeps your yarn clean and helps keep your yarn balls from rolling around. I couldn't find one, so being the impatient kid I am I decided to make one. Yes, ladies and gents, I put a grommit in a rubbermaid Take-Along container. Cheap and easy -- I so love it!
Ooh, here's a good one. We have a sleeve people. Great stuff that Suss alpaca. You just want to roll around in it naked. Hahaha (no, really-I'm serious)
This is really old, but I got all this wool at the Children's Hospital thrift shop. My brother and I happened to go on a day when all the craft stuff was 25% off! Hell yeah!!!! There's lots of beautiful dookie colors in there. I could make something felted! And all for $6.
Some recent purchases. Rebecca (in English, I might add) - there's mucho stuff I want in there, Lantern Moon size 5 dpns - to match my other ones that I posted earlier, Denise interchangeables - which I lurve, and a Chibi. Obviously, I don't know how to use a camera, either. Please keep my illiteracy in mind while you look around.
Okay, I'm still learning how to use all this crap. So switch these two pictures, kay? That picture up there is the yarn I'm using to make stuff for the pregnant girls in out district. The director of the program put out a call to all employees looking for knitters because she found bags of yarn. The variegated purply one is going to be a five hour baby sweater. I have to put the link somewhere else because, like I said, I'm still learning how to do this stuff.
I finished my pumpkin hat! Woohoo!! That's Sir Teechalot wearing it. He's mighty cute, but I think baby Yessenia will be a lot cuter in it (whenever she decides to pop out). I hope her mommy likes it!

Hey y'all (why do my students laugh everytime I say that?) Anyways, I thought it was time for a yearly post. Just kidding. Actually I'm stalling. I have lots of grading and planning to do. I wish I could just do this right now. I'm such a lousy blogger - I can't make this do what I want, look the way I want it to, or even visit to say hi. Who am I kidding - there aren't any readers. Hahahaha. I guess I should just do my work then, huh? Boo :(

A few days ago, I finally received my labels! Yahoo! I like them a lot, and will post some pictures tomorrow probably. Tomorrow (or today, actually) I want to figure out how to work the links and stuff. I hate it when there's long lists of archives. But blogger will have to wait if I don't finish grading and putting together the sub plans. I hate subs...

Two patterns from Sowing Sisters. They're the Amy Butler Chelsea and Madison bags. I think that's the fabric I'm going to use. Denim and that mattress looking stuff.
More Debbie Bliss cotton cashmere and a pattern for a pumpkin hat. G's baby is gonna be super cool with this one!
Look! I finally cast on for a real project! That's my Suss alpaca yarn and my new lantern moon-too-expensive-but-I-really-wanted-them needles. They're fun. I'm makingthe Suss shrug. Maybe I'll finish it....
Okay...THIS was my first big big purchase. There's some mystery doo doo colored yarn in the front. The brown and pink reminds me of ice cream. It's Suss twisted, I think. The balls in the back are Suss alpaca yarn. It's sooo super soft. And the orange stuff is Debbie Bliss cotton cashmere. I love that store.
