A picture of May and I at the Whistlestop. There were a bunch of people, and although we wanted to see other people's projects, we didn't walk around. No one else was. I had a lot of fun. I found out that her first sweater was Gigi from Chicknits. That really surprised me, but was gave me hope! There's a chance of me actually making something big. Watch out!

The whole first order. Peruvian Highland wool in pumpkin, dusty rose, and warm tan. For what? Who knows.

Here's my whole 2nd Elann order. There's blue filatura di crosa for Under the Hoodie, Peruvian Chunky for the Fair Isle in grays, and blue ribbon yarn for a pink tunic in one of the Rebecca magazines.

My four plastic containers of yarn. One of old wool found at thrift stores, one of acrylic yarn, and two full of yarn snobbery.

The yarn and sweater for the district. I just need to finish the body of the sweater and seam up the sleeves.

Remember the yarn I took from the district? I forgot about it until vacation. I decided to make the 5 hour baby sweater from the knitlist. This is a close-up of the stitches.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!!! I'm not sure what all the exclamation points are about since the phrase happy new year suggests that I am getting older. Boo. I don't feel old, but we'll see when my birthday rolls around.

Anyways, onto funner (the kids laugh when I say funner. Isn't that a word?) subjects. I ordered some more yarn from elann. I think that I am going to oficially ban myself from more yarny purchases until, oh, let's say February. Hahaha. But that's because my pay schedule is so weird. You only get paid once a month on the last working day of the month. Which means that I got paid the day before Thanksgiving then again on the 17th of december or something like that. Which means that from the 17th, I don't get paid for 6 weeks. Geez, talk about cruel and unusual.

Okay the yarn. I ordered some blue stufffor under the hoodie from SNB. I've wanted to make this for a long time, but that was back when I was a slave for the city (read: student teacher). I'm not sure anymore if I want to do all that stockinette. Barf. I also got some baby blue stuff for this cool ass tunic thing from Rebecca. This looks really fun to do, but the English instructions are hard to understand. I might take the magazine to the German teacher. And yarn for the fair isle in SNBN. Do the links work?

I forgot to take pictures of the first arrival of Elann at the new house, but I'll take pictures for sure. I am so addicted to that place. The sneak peek feature is baaaaad. I reserve the right to lift the ban at any time.

I finished the nautilus hat for Jayme's b-day. It's the hugest thing ever. I don't even know if i want to put the flower on it anymore. Maybe. Rosalyn's scarf is almost done. It's big and fluffy and I want to keep it. I saw her wearing a scarf on Christmas, and it was one of those thin ones. I'm not too sure she'll appreciate all the wooly cable fabulousness. However, I know I would. Especially when I have to start waking up at 4:45 a.m. again on Monday. This is the first vacation that I haven't missed my kids. Hmm...wonder what that means.

Break really fast so that I can see if the links worked. (which means things will be out of order. How the hell do I fix that?)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fix it by going to edit and just add to the last one. But then the time doesn't show. So I guess I haven't really fixed it. The Rebecca link didn't work, so I'll scan it or something after I fix the printer from Auntie Perlita.

This is probably really boring without pictures, but I'm too lazy and need to finally get ready.

*off to look at the sneak peek on Elann o_0*
